Nicky Curran - Europe

Nicky is an executive coach specialising in communication, leadership and confidence.

A long career in the live events industry has given Nicky vast experience and exposure to a some of the most influential speakers of the past 20 years. Working in creative agencies, Nicky lead countless pitch presentations, despite being a nervous presenter in her early career.

This experience, together with the latest research in leadership, non-verbal communication and scriptwriting is the foundation of a unique coaching programme.

The programmes are not purely focused on the delivery of communication, but the structure and content too: “It’s not just how you say it, but what you are saying, and it’s vital to work on both together.  My goal is to help people feel at ease, be engaging and to communicate with impact.”

Nicky is studying for a masters degree in Coaching for Behavioural Change at Henley Business School and is conducting research into glossophobia - commonly known as the fear of public speaking.

Steve Copestake - Asia Pacific

Steve is someone who’s worth meeting, a hugely experienced Marketing and Communications person with more than 35 years (he’s quite old) of blue-chip client and agency achievement worldwide. Over that time he’s worked with governments and companies like Disney, PepsiCo and Unilever, so he knows a thing or two about how to get brands and ideas across in a way that gets attention and can be remembered. In the course of all that he has lived and worked in the UK, Saudi Arabia, USA, Hong Kong and the UAE, which is all highly glamorous and exciting.

Being the friendly sort, Steve’s approach (to most things) is informal and supportive, with the focus on making complex messages seem much simpler and easy to relate to. He’s come to realise that a successful presentation is in so many ways a microcosm of marketing; understanding your audience, finding the important points of connection and sharing an idea with them that solves a problem.

Seeing the challenge in this way is the key to gaining consensus and presenting with confidence.
